try to purchase and to get into their uh into their into their life absolutely yeah thank you for that life absolutely yeah thank you for that introduction that's wonderful happy to introduction that's wonderful happy to be here great um so so much to go over be here great um so so much to go over um why don't you just give us a just um why don't you just give us a just kind of a quick overview of infrared kind of a quick overview of infrared Sona technology and then we can kind of Sona technology and then we can kind of just dive into the into the deep details just dive into the into the deep details sure so um I'll start with kind of the sure so um I'll start with kind of the way um you know comparing it to the way um you know comparing it to the traditional Sonics it's a newer um you traditional Sonics it's a newer um you know the traditional sauna is ancient um know the traditional sauna is ancient um is that kind of yeah so um traditional is that kind of yeah so um traditional sauna you know Heats You by by heating sauna you know Heats You by by heating the air um it heats up the air the air the air um it heats up the air the air moves over to you it Heats your body um moves over to you it Heats your body um in infrared sauna it actually emits um in infrared sauna it actually emits um infrared which is a form of radiant heat infrared which is a form of radiant heat um it's the same thing that you feel in um it's the same thing that you feel in the sun when the air is cold but you the sun when the air is cold but you feel the warmth from the Sun and that feel the warmth from the Sun and that heats you directly um without heating heats you directly um without heating the air as much so and that's kind of the air as much so and that's kind of what what prompted this is that the the

what what prompted this is that the the air temperature is not in the same way a air temperature is not in the same way a measure of how much heat you're getting measure of how much heat you're getting but yeah um you know there's different but yeah um you know there's different as far as the technology there's as far as the technology there's different types of heaters our heaters different types of heaters our heaters are pretty unique actually they're a are pretty unique actually they're a high grade metal um and it's a product high grade metal um and it's a product of a certain temperature that emits the of a certain temperature that emits the infrared how deep do you want me to yeah infrared how deep do you want me to yeah you know um you know we can talk a you know um you know we can talk a little bit about this because um I think little bit about this because um I think it's really important um especially it's really important um especially because there's so many infrared saunas because there's so many infrared saunas out there that PE people can purchase out there that PE people can purchase whether it's these sauna blankets or whether it's these sauna blankets or like these really inexpensive infrared like these really inexpensive infrared saunas on Amazon and things like that um saunas on Amazon and things like that um you know speaking about some of the you know speaking about some of the dangers of some of these uh inexpensive dangers of some of these uh inexpensive saunas and um you know we can dive into saunas and um you know we can dive into a little bit of the details of what is a little bit of the details of what is the danger of near infrared sure you the danger of near infrared sure you know versus far infrared and you know um know versus far infrared and you know um off gassing of materials that people off gassing of materials that people really shouldn't be exposed osed to um

really shouldn't be exposed osed to um you know because they're trying to get you know because they're trying to get in the sauna to do detoxification and in the sauna to do detoxification and then they can be actually adding then they can be actually adding toxicity to them I think the last thing toxicity to them I think the last thing would be would be EMF that's a big one that's a big Topic EMF that's a big one that's a big Topic in the sauna world yeah sure um yeah and in the sauna world yeah sure um yeah and there's a there's a huge range in there's a there's a huge range in quality you know from the the lower-end quality you know from the the lower-end saunas up to you know we one of the um saunas up to you know we one of the um the higher end we really don't cut any the higher end we really don't cut any Corners we use the highest quality Corners we use the highest quality materials but um yeah I mean um you know materials but um yeah I mean um you know EMF is a big Topic in the sauna world EMF is a big Topic in the sauna world it's emit by any electrical Appliance um it's emit by any electrical Appliance um Power Line cell phones you know we're Power Line cell phones you know we're we're surrounded by it inevitably to an we're surrounded by it inevitably to an extent every day um it's a big topic extent every day um it's a big topic with saunas because of the way you're with saunas because of the way you're sitting really close to the high power sitting really close to the high power heaters so you're getting um you know heaters so you're getting um you know they can be extremely high um when they can be extremely high um when you're investing in something to improve you're investing in something to improve your health that's kind of the last your health that's kind of the last thing you want is to bring something thing you want is to bring something harmful in um they've even been linked harmful in um they've even been linked to there's some studies linking them to there's some studies linking them cancer but definitely uh neuro uh you

cancer but definitely uh neuro uh you know neuro psych neury sorry um symptoms know neuro psych neury sorry um symptoms trouble concentrating trouble sleeping trouble concentrating trouble sleeping um and um cellular damage you oxidative um and um cellular damage you oxidative damaging your cells um so yeah um it's a damaging your cells um so yeah um it's a big topic we it's kind of one of our big topic we it's kind of one of our Specialties our president is an Specialties our president is an electrical engineer really smart guy electrical engineer really smart guy designed our heaters and he actually designed our heaters and he actually designed and patented the technology designed and patented the technology that virtually completely eliminated that virtually completely eliminated Ates both types the electric and the Ates both types the electric and the magnetic field and you have to be kind magnetic field and you have to be kind of careful because there's a lot of of careful because there's a lot of companies it's an easier technology to companies it's an easier technology to lower the magnetic fields so there's a lower the magnetic fields so there's a lot of companies out there that have lot of companies out there that have managed to do that and they just ignore managed to do that and they just ignore the electric Fields they just won't the electric Fields they just won't mention them um hoping you don't know mention them um hoping you don't know the difference they'll just say this is the difference they'll just say this is the one number that matters um so the one number that matters um so there's two components the there's two components the electromagnetic field the electric and electromagnetic field the electric and the Magnetic we're one of the few that's the Magnetic we're one of the few that's that's low in both that I know of

that's low in both that I know of fantastic um how about off gassing you fantastic um how about off gassing you know I mean everyone thinks that like oh know I mean everyone thinks that like oh you know I love going into this this hot you know I love going into this this hot sauna because you know it's cedar or sauna because you know it's cedar or it's Redwood or something like that I'm it's Redwood or something like that I'm like well do you know why Cedar and like well do you know why Cedar and Redwood lot yeah yeah yeah well first of Redwood lot yeah yeah yeah well first of all I mean with the um off gasing we'll all I mean with the um off gasing we'll talk about plywood too I'll start with talk about plywood too I'll start with that um you know almost every SAA out that um you know almost every SAA out there has plywood in it you know we use there has plywood in it you know we use 100% solid wood we don't use plywood but 100% solid wood we don't use plywood but ply would off gases for Malahide which ply would off gases for Malahide which is a carcinogen especially when it's is a carcinogen especially when it's heated um but yeah the Cedar uh a lot of heated um but yeah the Cedar uh a lot of people you know like the smell of Cedar people you know like the smell of Cedar but the reason that um that they repel but the reason that um that they repel that it repels moss and insects is that it repels moss and insects is because it's to some degree it's toxic because it's to some degree it's toxic not as much to us as it is to the not as much to us as it is to the insects but that's you the reason it's a insects but that's you the reason it's a repellent um so yeah a lot of people can repellent um so yeah a lot of people can develop sensitivities to Cedar um over develop sensitivities to Cedar um over time um you know it's a lung irritant time um you know it's a lung irritant cause headaches um big big symptoms but

cause headaches um big big symptoms but but but yeah basically when you're what you're yeah basically when you're what you're smelling is the off gasing it's TP beans smelling is the off gasing it's TP beans in the case of the cedar but it's um you in the case of the cedar but it's um you know the less smell um generally the know the less smell um generally the less off gasing you're having the less less off gasing you're having the less chemicals you're smelling yeah sure you chemicals you're smelling yeah sure you guys just use Hemlock and popler Hemlock guys just use Hemlock and popler Hemlock and popler and popler is has virtually and popler and popler is has virtually no odor at all um so that is you know no odor at all um so that is you know the least of guessing we get uh the least of guessing we get uh customers some times that are just customers some times that are just really sensitive um don't want any smell really sensitive um don't want any smell at all the hemlock um is a little less at all the hemlock um is a little less expensive not it's not a lower quality expensive not it's not a lower quality it's just less expensive for us to get it's just less expensive for us to get um it has a very mild smell we don't see um it has a very mild smell we don't see problems with it like we do at the um problems with it like we do at the um Cedar so it's a good option if you don't Cedar so it's a good option if you don't need the PO cool and would you talk a need the PO cool and would you talk a little bit about um the risks of near little bit about um the risks of near infrared yeah you know and some of this infrared yeah you know and some of this you know skin aging and cataracts o you know skin aging and cataracts o stress and these types of things yeah stress and these types of things yeah Ely um that is a big topic and it's a

Ely um that is a big topic and it's a potentially really confusing topic that potentially really confusing topic that comes up a lot um because near infrared comes up a lot um because near infrared it's in a lot of saunas um so I've done it's in a lot of saunas um so I've done a lot of research on that um and so yeah a lot of research on that um and so yeah so infrared saas have traditionally been so infrared saas have traditionally been far infared going back decades there's far infared going back decades there's dozens and dozens of studies on you know dozens and dozens of studies on you know humans and far infrared saas um safety humans and far infrared saas um safety and the benefits are well studied near and the benefits are well studied near infrared there's never actually been a infrared there's never actually been a study using near infrared in a sauna study using near infrared in a sauna there are studies showing benefits using there are studies showing benefits using um LEDs or lasers to treat local areas um LEDs or lasers to treat local areas of the body in specific doses um there of the body in specific doses um there are benefits but it just it it's it are benefits but it just it it's it hasn't been studied you know in in a hasn't been studied you know in in a sauna and there are risks you know there sauna and there are risks you know there are studies showing that it actually are studies showing that it actually works bya a hormesis which is means it's works bya a hormesis which is means it's like a stress to your cells so a little like a stress to your cells so a little bit causes just enough stress a little bit causes just enough stress a little bit is good too much is bad it causes bit is good too much is bad it causes you know can cause um you cellular

you know can cause um you cellular damage um skin aging um yeah and yeah damage um skin aging um yeah and yeah it's long been known to be bad for your it's long been known to be bad for your eyes it promotes cataract formation um eyes it promotes cataract formation um but yeah there are companies a lot of but yeah there are companies a lot of companies have added it to the saunas companies have added it to the saunas now um just now um just without you know I mean we're we're without you know I mean we're we're we're a different sort of company we're we're a different sort of company we're very science-based um not all companies very science-based um not all companies are um yeah there's just nothing nothing are um yeah there's just nothing nothing no evidence of the safety one way or the no evidence of the safety one way or the other so and there's really no added other so and there's really no added benefits you know that you don't Al that benefits you know that you don't Al that you don't not getting with the farm for you don't not getting with the farm for red so I think it's just we're confident red so I think it's just we're confident that it's much safer to stick with the that it's much safer to stick with the far yeah I'm I'm all for safety um you far yeah I'm I'm all for safety um you know there's so know there's so much information going out there and much information going out there and podcasts people and uh one of the podcasts people and uh one of the reasons I reached out to is I really reasons I reached out to is I really want to clear the air on a lot of these want to clear the air on a lot of these things and um it's shocking to me and I things and um it's shocking to me and I don't want to name anybody that's you

don't want to name anybody that's you know giving this information out or know giving this information out or anything like that I'm really not a main anything like that I'm really not a main Basher but I just want to kind of just Basher but I just want to kind of just clear the air on some things because a clear the air on some things because a lot of this information is about you lot of this information is about you know you need high temperature in order know you need high temperature in order to get a lot of these benefits yeah and to get a lot of these benefits yeah and um you know not only is that not true um you know not only is that not true that um the amount of time that a lot of that um the amount of time that a lot of these Protocols are set for isn't enough these Protocols are set for isn't enough time for your core body temperature to time for your core body temperature to rise in these saunas the traditional rise in these saunas the traditional sauna yeah and that um infrared saunas sauna yeah and that um infrared saunas can raise your core body temperature a can raise your core body temperature a lot faster yeah and they're telling lot faster yeah and they're telling people to get into sauna for 20 minutes people to get into sauna for 20 minutes yeah and it just won't raise your core yeah and it just won't raise your core body temperature and without that core body temperature and without that core body temperature rise you're not going body temperature rise you're not going to get this paresis you're not going to to get this paresis you're not going to get the heat shock proteins and a lot of get the heat shock proteins and a lot of the benefits so um maybe you can give us the benefits so um maybe you can give us a little bit of the of the studies there a little bit of the of the studies there and what's going on with infrared versus and what's going on with infrared versus you know I I would love to this is a you know I I would love to this is a topic that um you know we a lot and like

topic that um you know we a lot and like I said I feel like I've been getting it I said I feel like I've been getting it even more than usual lately um and it is even more than usual lately um and it is a confusing topic it's understandably a confusing topic it's understandably confusing because you know we think of confusing because you know we think of temperature well temperature is a temperature well temperature is a measure of how much heat something has measure of how much heat something has um but it doesn't matter so much how um but it doesn't matter so much how much heat the stuff around us has what much heat the stuff around us has what matters is how much heat is being matters is how much heat is being transferred to us right so you know transferred to us right so you know there's three ways you can transfer heat there's three ways you can transfer heat I'll try to go through the Sciences I'll try to go through the Sciences stuff really quick but um you know stuff really quick but um you know there's conduction convection and there's conduction convection and radiation radiation which radiation does not mean ionizing which radiation does not mean ionizing radiation the X-ray is gamma rays we're radiation the X-ray is gamma rays we're not talking nuclear um it just means any not talking nuclear um it just means any energy transfer by a light wave um so energy transfer by a light wave um so infrared is a radiant heat um conduction infrared is a radiant heat um conduction is when you touch a stove you're is when you touch a stove you're touching an object and that transfers touching an object and that transfers the Heat and then convection is the the Heat and then convection is the primary way that a traditional Sona primary way that a traditional Sona Heats you um it heats the air the air Heats you um it heats the air the air circulates um the air touches you and circulates um the air touches you and you know it it heats the air it's you know it it heats the air it's touching the has to move to you the air

touching the has to move to you the air has to heat you it's not a very has to heat you it's not a very efficient way generally I mean it efficient way generally I mean it depends on a lot of factors you know the depends on a lot of factors you know the temperature difference and a lot of temperature difference and a lot of things but um it it takes you know you things but um it it takes you know you have to let the air has to circulate to have to let the air has to circulate to heat up the whole room um then air is heat up the whole room um then air is not the best conductor you know compare not the best conductor you know compare air to you know water is by far a better air to you know water is by far a better conductor um so um yeah but that's so in conductor um so um yeah but that's so in that case the air temperature tells you that case the air temperature tells you how much heat you're getting with a how much heat you're getting with a sauna um sauna um the with an infrared sa I'm sorry the the with an infrared sa I'm sorry the infrared Heats you directly without infrared Heats you directly without heating the air as much um so picture heating the air as much um so picture you know infrared is why the sun feels you know infrared is why the sun feels warm even when the air is cold so warm even when the air is cold so picture the difference your outside on a picture the difference your outside on a hot day and the difference between a hot day and the difference between a complete shade and direct sunlight um complete shade and direct sunlight um the air is the same temperature but you the air is the same temperature but you have I used live it Bolder right yeah have I used live it Bolder right yeah and you go outside and be 35 degrees in and you go outside and be 35 degrees in a t-shirt that's why

a t-shirt that's why and it would be cold and when the Sun and it would be cold and when the Sun goes behind a cloud it drops you know 10 goes behind a cloud it drops you know 10 15 you know what degrees and that's not 15 you know what degrees and that's not because the air temperature drops that because the air temperature drops that quickly it's just the radiant energy quickly it's just the radiant energy from the Sun um so yeah the sun can from the Sun um so yeah the sun can actually you know heat up something far actually you know heat up something far hotter than the air whereas with hotter than the air whereas with convection heat you can't um you know a convection heat you can't um you know a black you know panel lineing in direct black you know panel lineing in direct sunlight can heat up to well over 100 sunlight can heat up to well over 100 even if it's 60 degrees out um even if it's 60 degrees out um so yeah not getting trying to not get so yeah not getting trying to not get too long-winded but that's an INF for too long-winded but that's an INF for Sona that the air temperature is not as Sona that the air temperature is not as relevant to how much so talk talk a relevant to how much so talk talk a little bit about you know we looked at a little bit about you know we looked at a few studies and you sent me some studies few studies and you sent me some studies to look at as well yeah um where and you to look at as well yeah um where and you can go into it more it within 15 minutes can go into it more it within 15 minutes of being in an infrared sauna and not of being in an infrared sauna and not turned up all the way um because you turned up all the way um because you know I I have a high-tech sauna in my H know I I have a high-tech sauna in my H in my house and you know I kind of crank

in my house and you know I kind of crank it because I've been using it for so it because I've been using it for so long and it gets up into the well into long and it gets up into the well into the high 150 yeah but a lot of these the high 150 yeah but a lot of these studies are at 140 degrees and at 140 studies are at 140 degrees and at 140 degrees in an infrared sauna in 15 degrees in an infrared sauna in 15 minutes you can raise your core body minutes you can raise your core body temperature quite a bit where we're temperature quite a bit where we're going to get heat shock proteins and we going to get heat shock proteins and we can talk about those later but in 15 can talk about those later but in 15 minutes in a regular sauna it doesn't minutes in a regular sauna it doesn't seem to to happen yeah I mean based on seem to to happen yeah I mean based on you know limited evidence I've seen I you know limited evidence I've seen I you know I haven't read extensively how you know I haven't read extensively how but yeah according to the studies that but yeah according to the studies that um that we've read um but yeah that's um that we've read um but yeah that's another thing that people you know they another thing that people you know they hear that you need the high temperatures hear that you need the high temperatures I think somewhere there's confusion I think somewhere there's confusion somewhere along that train of somewhere along that train of communication where they're confusing communication where they're confusing the traditional sauna with the infrared the traditional sauna with the infrared sauna there's never I've never seen and sauna there's never I've never seen and I've done a ton of research on you know I've done a ton of research on you know benefits on saunas infid saunas um and benefits on saunas infid saunas um and traditional saunas um I've never seen a

traditional saunas um I've never seen a study in an infrared sauna in humans study in an infrared sauna in humans over 140 um I have Pro a collection of over 140 um I have Pro a collection of 60 70 human infrar far infrared SAA 60 70 human infrar far infrared SAA studies um they're all between the low studies um they're all between the low 120s I think 123 up to 140 is the 120s I think 123 up to 140 is the highest so all of the benefits you know highest so all of the benefits you know are coming from that temperature range are coming from that temperature range so there's no need to use it higher than so there's no need to use it higher than that for one thing um yeah and the core that for one thing um yeah and the core body temperature so what matters you body temperature so what matters you know most of the benefits you're getting know most of the benefits you're getting from raising your core body temperature from raising your core body temperature um that's what activates heat shock um that's what activates heat shock proteins which are which I proteins which are which I love right they are yeah so they are love right they are yeah so they are proteins um they're in every cell of our proteins um they're in every cell of our body at Baseline their job is to Quality body at Baseline their job is to Quality Control all the other proteins so they Control all the other proteins so they find damage and they repair it um so find damage and they repair it um so higher levels of heat chock proteins higher levels of heat chock proteins just makes all of our tissues healthier just makes all of our tissues healthier harder more resistant to damage image harder more resistant to damage image that are able to repair um so and that

that are able to repair um so and that is you know it seems that's that's the is you know it seems that's that's the way that most of the benefits that's way that most of the benefits that's where most of the benefits are coming where most of the benefits are coming from um based on you know my extensive from um based on you know my extensive research is I'm elevating our heat shock research is I'm elevating our heat shock proteins right yeah you know I we try to proteins right yeah you know I we try to make these protocols for people you know make these protocols for people you know and how much sauna to get and um you and how much sauna to get and um you know nobody wants to say n sauna for know nobody wants to say n sauna for more than 20 minutes really right and so more than 20 minutes really right and so like if you're gonna like if you're gonna use I maybe maybe 30 you know I mean you use I maybe maybe 30 you know I mean you can get people can get people staying trying to get people to do it staying trying to get people to do it multiple times a multiple times a week you know they always about time week you know they always about time right so everyone's busy you don't want right so everyone's busy you don't want to sit there for an hour yeah so so to sit there for an hour yeah so so trying to get them to do that you know trying to get them to do that you know we know exercise releases some heat shot we know exercise releases some heat shot proteins and you know uh the hypoxia proteins and you know uh the hypoxia training so we're always having people training so we're always having people you know do some hypoxia with with you know do some hypoxia with with breath work any any stress basically or breath work any any stress basically or most stresses most stresses do will

most stresses most stresses do will trigger heat shock proteins but heat is trigger heat shock proteins but heat is you know one of the best ways to trigger you know one of the best ways to trigger them trigger them and they're called them trigger them and they're called heat shock proteins because that's how heat shock proteins because that's how they were discovered um yeah you can they were discovered um yeah you can activate them lots of ways um yeah and activate them lots of ways um yeah and we actually as far as raising core body we actually as far as raising core body temperature yeah there's um a couple temperature yeah there's um a couple good studies that very directly good studies that very directly concretely show that um after 15 minutes concretely show that um after 15 minutes at 140 um the temperatures of the at 140 um the temperatures of the subjects are elevated um to a degree subjects are elevated um to a degree that is sufficient to induce heat chock that is sufficient to induce heat chock proteins um and then even more than that proteins um and then even more than that we actually did um our own company we actually did um our own company internal study um we all spent actually internal study um we all spent actually year at least a year taking our year at least a year taking our temperature every five minutes while we temperature every five minutes while we saw it and this leads into I can briefly saw it and this leads into I can briefly tell you about our new smart Z oh yeah tell you about our new smart Z oh yeah that was that was part of the background that was that was part of the background yeah um this was designed by um Eric our yeah um this was designed by um Eric our president electrical engineer really president electrical engineer really smart guy um but based on the search on
